I channel and paint all 78 cards. I'll check in through an email every month throughout the project to keep you in the loop on progress. This is also when you will have an opportunity to select your back-of-card design and the font style for the words on your cards. If you prefer, I can make those selections for you (some clients like to be involved in these details and others like to leave all the creative decisions to me and enjoy the surprise)

There was a period in my life when I chose to turn it all off. The connection to my guides, the visions across the veil into the afterlife, the downloads, the knowing I'd had since I was a child — I walked away from all of it in an attempt to be - normal. Not only is normal overrated, for me, it was inauthentic. My visions, my Guides, Spirits and animal voices - all were a part of my truest expression in this lifetime. I'm Heather Mays — an intuitive artist, psychic channeler medium, and animal communicator. Will the cards have traditional tarot symbology?
No — and that's the point. These cards won't include standard imagery (the World card won't feature a globe; the Justice card won't feature scales). Each card is painted in geometry and layered color representing the frequency of your soul's personal energy as it relates to that card's theme. The Hierophant, for example, would reflect your unique relationship to mystery, tradition, and structure — not a generic symbol of it.
Can I see examples of existing custom decks?
Custom decks are sacred to their owners, so I don't share the details of existing projects here. If you're already familiar with my work, the art on the cards will feel like home — it will resemble my frequency art, like the Monthly Energy Forecasts and The Radiant Way Frequency Deck. If you're new to my work, I'd love for you to visit the Art page on my website for examples and to get a sense of the style. That's the best way to know if this feels right for you.
Will I be able to see each piece of art/card design along the way?
You will not see all of your cards until you receive the completed deck, but you will have an opportunity to preview a small number of cards (3-5 cards) from your deck and co-create your deck with me through the selection of your back-of-card design and by selecting a font for the words on your cards.
Back of Card Design: You can choose your own, unique back-of-card design in one of two ways: (1) By selecting from over 50 hand-painted pre-made designs that are retired after selection (they are used only for your deck). New designs are added often and I am confident you will find something that you love! (2) If you would like additional customization, I can create or channel a unique design for you (for an additional fee of $197, invoiced after purchase. Please note this option also adds an additional two weeks onto your project timeline).
Text Style: To help you with designing the way the words on the card appear, you will have an opportunity to select the text style for the words on your cards. You can choose from 14 available styles and you will make your selection toward the end of the project through an easy online preview. (You can also leave all creative and stylistic choices to me if you prefer).
I don't share all of the 78 pieces of art with you before you receive the completed deck. This is intentional. Receiving all 78 cards together for the first time is a deeply beautiful experience — a ceremonial moment to sit quietly with your own energy, reflected back to you all at once. I find that clients who allow the process to unfold this way have the most profound connection to their finished deck. Please be familiar with my style of art prior to purchase.
Do I need to be a tarot reader to commission a deck?
Not at all. Many of my clients are lifelong tarot readers who want a deck that truly reflects their own energy. Others are new to tarot entirely and feel drawn to having original art that connects them to its archetypes in a personal way. Both are welcome — these cards meet you wherever you are. When you purchase, you can also opt to include two appointments with me where we can discuss your cards and dive deeper into their meaning for your Soul's journey.
Can I order this as a gift?
Yes. Gift certificates are available on the checkout page. Creating this art involves tuning in to the recipient's energy — and I'll only do that with their permission. With a gift purchase, you'll receive a gift card which the recipient redeems when they're ready. A beautiful way to offer this to someone you love.
I'm outside the US — can I still order?
Yes! International orders outside the US are welcome. You are responsible for any customs fees or additional import taxes that would apply in your country. The timing of the delivery for your cards may also extend beyond 16 weeks due to carrier delays.
Can I request a rush delivery?
The timeline is 16 weeks from order to delivery. Please plan accordingly if you need your cards by a specific date.
What if I need more than one deck printed?
Additional decks can be printed for $144 each (shipping included). I'll create a separate invoice for however many you need. All decks ship to the purchaser's address — I'll leave it to you to send your gifts where they need to go!
Will there be a guidebook?
There's no traditional guidebook — there are so many wonderful tarot resources already available. You will receive a digital PDF with a short channeled message from my guides for each suit (Wands, Cups, Swords, Pentacles). For those who want to go deeper, the optional Card Exploration Calls are available as an add-on.
Can I get the same back-of-card design shown in your examples?
No — the design shown here has been used for someone's deck. Your back-of-card design will be unique to your deck and will not be replicated for anyone else.
Can I send you the art I would like you to use for the back of card design?
No. I am unable to use art that you provide.
