The Clarity in Contrast

As we begin our journey through 2025, we may start to encounter situations of high contrast. It is as if this year in particular is one that highlights, with bold vibrance, that which we prefer in comparison to that which we do not. This review will happen for many of us across all areas of life - relationships with Self, with others, professions, hobbies, and communities. Our belief systems in particular are being called to light for a reconfirmation, a final systems check before we journey into 2026 and beyond.

Contrast - the state of being strikingly different from something else in close association or proximity - can be uncomfortable. It can feel isolating when we feel that we stand alone in our passions, our beliefs, our very nature. While it can sometimes feel harsh, contrast is a powerful tool. When we know what we don't want, we gain more clarity in knowing what we do want. From that clearer vantage point, we are better able to take aligned action and become a clearer frequency that better matches our authentic Soul's expression.

Consider the image below. When you move the slider all the way to the right, the image is darker, more potent and the background is removed for a more simplified view of the main objects. Moving the slider to the left, we see less contrast which, for some, may feel like a lighter expression and a less harsh image, but also adds more color and background to grab our focus and attention. (You can move the slider below for yourself to see how the image changes)

When we can use contrast as a tool for dialing in our personal settings and preferences. With less distraction and a clearer "image", it's often easier for us to tune in to our own authenticity and know with more certainty what is a right and appropriate choice for us.

Another aspect of this discussion that my Guides brought to my attention is that we control the amount of light we let in. If something feels like it has too much contrast, if it's too stark and too jagged, letting more light in softens the sharpness and allows us to have a more gradual and graceful experience.

What can you adjust (like the slider above) in your own life to either see it more clearly or step back and have a broader view?
